Farmers Development Organization is not for profit and non-governmental public interest organization striving to benefit hundreds of marginalized segment of society in southern Punjab for last two decades in Saraiki Region (Southern Punjab). FDO is working in close coordination with Governmental institutions to identify the deprived communities and localities of southern Punjab for uplifting the deprived ones. FDO reached thousands of people through dozens of health, education, Livelihood, Institutional Development, Emergency Relief, Community Physical Infrastructure and food and nutrition related interventions in southern Punjab for last two decades so community become able to break poverty vicious cycle for sustainable livelihood. In this regard FDO in collaboration with government providing interest free loans for last ten years to marginalized communities to eradicate poverty for their prosperity.

FDO is pleased to share that FDO has disbursed billion rupees among Thirty thousand families through Interest free loan scheme which helped communities to establish and expand their small scale enterprises. I am delighted to share that FDO is working as SECP’ licensed Non-Bank Finance Company Since November 2021. FDO will now provide its delegated services in Islamic Microfinance properly under this license. FDO aim to reach more than one lac marginalized and underprivileged families with billion rupees in next five years to promote small scale enterprises. It will contribute into provision of capital and skills towards the prosperity. In these five years FDO will focus on most vulnerable segment of society which includes women, transgender, Persons with different abilities (PWDs) to streamline them in development phase and enable them as useful citizen of society.

FDO intervene in any deprived area through participatory approach by establishing and strengthening social structures at community level to sensitize people for realization of their rights by means of collective actions and development of village development plans which give Positive thinking direction, courage and enlighten hope among them for prosperity and development.

I am thankful to the partners and collaborative organizations, Board of Directors and dedicated staff of FDO working in remote areas despite the harsh weather conditions for this noble cause.
